Hi, i have been running the wider 29 rims for 5 months on my transition bandit. I am interested in the "wider carbon mountain 29er rims." What is the internal width of the rims? Can you send me a cross section diagram of the rims? How long have you been building carbon bikes and wheels? thank you Mick

Hello Michael, We can make invoice for you if you like to order. Please find attached pictures for different weave. It is only the outer layer different, to make the rims with different outlook and the strength is almost the same. Because all the layers inside are the same. So, we can not sell the rims to any other customers. If you like, you can order our current rim as attached. It is really strong, and we have new process on our 29er wide rims. We sell thousands of this rim each month. http://www.flickr.com/photos/light-bicycle/sets/72157631717562968/detail/ Thanks, Light-bicycle

Light-Bicycle :
Hello David, Thanks for your inquiry. The lightest rear hub we have is Novatec D712, it is 273g/pcs. is it ok for you? It is ok to make rims with UD ,matte, 420g stronger version. And for nipples, we have black and red. http://www.flickr.com/photos/light-bicycle/sets/72157631717562968/detail/ Thanks, Light-bicycle

I have built hundreds of wheels in the 18 years as a professional bicycle wrench. I am quite impressed with your product. I just finished build a set of your 29er AM hoops and these rims are a pleasure to work with. Noticeably stiff and built to exact tolerances. I am looking forward to putting them through the paces to verify they are as strong and responsive as I believe they will be. I will give progress report later in the season. Thank you for making consumer direct quality and pricing a reality. VERY NICE!
Light-Bicycle :
Hello David, Thanks for your information. And we are happy to hear that you like our rims. Thank you so much. And we are waiting for your building report. Thanks again. Thanks, Light-bicycle

Looking to get a pair of the wider 29er rims with the 3k matte finish. Is it possible to hand select rims that are on the lighter side, say 380-385 grams each.
Light-Bicycle :
Hello Josh, Thanks for your inquiry. It is ok to choose the rims around 380g to 385g for you. But it will take longer time to wait, because we have to get the correct weight for you. Is it ok for you? If yes, we can make the invoice accordingly for you. 29er wide 3k matte, 32holes, 380g~385g, right? http://www.flickr.com/photos/light-bicycle/sets/72157631717562968/detail/ Thanks, Light-bicycle
Mark :
Hi, I would like to purchase two 29" wide rims in 28 hole around the 380 to 385 gram rim mark if possible. Out of the three lay ups which is the strongest and potentially lightest build? Thanks, Mark
Light-Bicycle :
Hello Mark, Thanks for your inquiry. It is ok to get 29er wide rims 28hole around 380g ~ 385g, but the lead time will be longer. We have to choose the light rims from the production line. Is is ok for you? And for 3k/UD/12k, the weight and strength is almost the same. Because all the inside carbon material is the same, only the outer layer different. So, there is no much difference. http://www.flickr.com/photos/light-bicycle/sets/72157631717562968/detail/ Thanks, Light-bicycle

scott :
Are you using the new manufacturing process on all the 29" rims? Scott
Light-Bicycle :
Hello Scott, Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, currently, some 29er wide rims are manufactured by new process. Most are still manufactured by the current process. Because we only make one mold for new process, until customers' riding test on new process is finished a few months. And the testing is good, the we will use new process for all rims. Now the production line is experienced with the current process. So, most are still manufactured by the current process. The new process is still being tested. If you like new process, you can let us know, then we can make a note on our order, and manufacture the rims accordingly. Is that ok for you? http://www.flickr.com/photos/light-bicycle/sets/72157631717562968/detail/ Thanks, Light-bicycle
yaya77 :
Hello, Please confirm if you make rims with profile/depth higher than 20mm? I'm interested with the new manufacturing process and specific mold. thanks yaya77FR

Hello sir, Thanks for your inquiry. Currently, we only have 20mm deep for 29er rims. Is that ok for you? Please find attached cross-section drawing. And if you like rims with new process, we can make invoice for you. And make a note on the invoice that you like rims with new process. Then the production line will manufacture accordingly. Is that ok for you? http://www.flickr.com/photos/light-bicycle/sets/72157631717562968/detail/ Thanks, Light-bicycle

Tony :
Hi I am looking at your 29er wide rims and weigh 93kg would the normal ones be ok. Also how much would shipping be to Australia for 2 rims. Thanks.
Light-Bicycle :
Hello Tony, Thanks for your inquiry. For 29er wide rim standard version is around 395g /-10, is it ok for you? Do you like 3k/12k/UD for rims? glossy finish or matte? 32holes? The price is USD165/pcs, and the shipping cost for 2pcs rims to Australia is USD38 by EMS. If you like to order, we can create invoice for you. Or you can place the order directly through our website. http://www.flickr.com/photos/light-bicycle/sets/72157631717562968/detail/ Thanks, Light-bicycle

Eric :
Hi There Can you please advise me of shipping costs to Vancouver Island, BC, Canada for a pair of 29er wide carbon rims? Also, does glossy finish offer any added strength over the matte finish? Cheers Eric
Light-Bicycle :
Hello Eric, Thanks for your inquiry. The shipping cost for one pair 29er wide rims to Canada is USD50 by EMS. The price is USD165/pcs, so it is USD330 for 2pcs rims. And USD50 for the shipping cost. For 3k/UD/12k, it is only the top layer different. All the inside carbon fiber are the same. So the strength & weight is almost the same. UD and 3k is the most popular. And for glossy, it is clear coat painting. And for matte, it is a kind of other painting. Both of them are a kind of painting, no strength added. http://www.flickr.com/photos/light-bicycle/sets/72157631717562968/detail/ Thanks, Light-bicycle
