Andre 2024/01/21

Hi - when I try to purchase, there is no option to customize brake track. Can you help?

LightBicycle 2024/01/22

Hi Andre, Yes, the RM26C02 26er rim is available for a High TG rim brake surface. Do you need the rims only or the whole wheelset? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hello, Do you think there is enough interest in making a rim brake version? I would really like some carbon rims for my vintage bike. Thank you

LightBicycle 2019/09/16

Hi Brent, It is okay to manufacture this 26er bike rim with rim brake version. We just sent you quotation through email. Please check. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Bruce 2023/05/10

Hi I see you make a set of 26 rim brake carbon wheels for Brent.

LightBicycle 2023/05/10

Hi Bruce, Thanks for your inquiry! For RM26C02 rim, it is okay to make with rim brake version. Do you like rims with 24H and UD matte high TG brake surface? You can list the order specs here. We can work on invoice accordingly for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Can i run 1.5 tire with this rim?

LightBicycle 2023/04/19

Hi Sir, 1.5 tire mountain bike 26er is a bit narrow for RM26C02 rim. We recommend wider tires will be better. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Jérémy 2019/02/18

Hi, would these rims be ok for a dj bike ? less than 35psi are recommended but I usually get my tires to 70 psi or more so I guess it would be a problem unless there is a version that can take 80 psi.

LightBicycle 2019/02/19

Hi Jeremy, This mtb rim is hook version, the max tire pressure is 130PSI max. Please don't worry. Normally, mtb riding is less than 40psi, why you ride higher? Is it for other bikes? Thanks, Lightbicycle

A

Alberto 2020/11/01

Thanks, Lightbicycle

Winston 2016/01/06

Hi, I would like to ask if the rim RM26C02 is now hookless bead technology. I'm trying to upgrade/rebuild my wheelset and I'm limited by my existing parts which I do not intend to replace. In terms of ERD, only the RM26C02 can match with the spokes that I have Thanks

Light-Bicycle 2016/01/07

Hello Winston, Thanks for your inquiry. Currently, only 33mm wide & 38mm width hookless rims are available. The RM26C02 is still with hook. Sorry about that. But hookless is more durable. Would you mind to get some new spokes and rebuild the wheels with hookless rims? RM26C02 (30mm width hook): 360 /-15g, USD150/pcs RM26C03 (33mm width hookless): 375 /-15g, USD170/pcs Thanks, Light-bicycle

Arthur 2019/02/16

Hello. What spoke to use for assembly and how many? Is Sapim D-light enough? 1. My weight is 155 lbs. 2. Tire width 2.2 " 3. Riding around the city and easy off-road. Or choose model RM26C03? Sorry for my English, I use Google translator

LightBicycle 2019/02/27

Hi Arthur, Since you are not a heavy rider and just doing city riding and easy off-road riding, I would say Sapim D-light is enough for you. You can learn more about other Sapim spokes we use at our Youtube channel episode called "Spokes we build with" at. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovwoEXuisWM Below is the comparison between RM26C02-30mm wide & RM26C03-33mm wide 26er bike wheel, I would say RM26C02-30mm wide would be a good fit. https://www.lightbicycle.com/site/share-cart?id=85 You can compare other MTB rims thought our compare tool if you need. Here's the link for you. https://www.lightbicycle.com/product-compare/Rim-strength-comparison-on-26ER.html Thanks, Lightbicycle

Nono 2018/06/28

Hello I've questions about your AM 26er rims RM26C02. I would like use this rim on my pumptrack/4x bike with 28 spokes. Do you think this rims is OK for this ? Thanks Is it possible to drill with 5° angles for side angles if it's ok with the spokes bed construction?

LightBicycle 2018/06/29

Hi Nono, Can you kindly provide below info to me? Then we can check whether 26er wheelset 28H is strong enough for your riding or not. 1). Your weight 2). Tire width you use 3). What kind of riding you do? 4). Are you an aggressive rider? Our spoke holes are usually drilled with +/-6 degree angle. If you like +/-5, it is also okay. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Wes 2017/06/10

Hi Looking to build some wheels for my boys 26" Trek Superfly. He is 10 years old and weighs almost 80 lbs. Wondering what the best route would be. Thinking clincher 26" xc rims, UD, Matte, but not sure on the spoke count. Looking to build him a light set of wheels. He will be racing cyclocross this winter as well. Thanks

LightBicycle 2017/06/12

Hello Wes, Thanks for your inquiry. According to your details, we’d like to recommend the 30mm wide 26er XC wheels which are much lighter and strong enough for his riding. He is a light rider, I think 24H/24H are okay for him. We have light hubs DT 240S straight pull center lock 24H/24H hubs. Does it work for you? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Can you do these with 48 hole drilling? Thanks

LightBicycle 2017/06/07

Hello Graham, Thanks for your inquiry. We can manufacture the RM26C02 rim in 48H. Is 48H spoke holes laced on rim evenly? And is it 28 holes on one line and another 28 holes on the other line? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Vladimir 2017/05/30

Hi LB, Can you made an "Heavy duty" rim like you do it on 33 mm rims? I need the narrow clincher rim but strong enough for races and some tricks (for rear wheel). How much it will be cost and how can I order it? Thanks!

LightBicycle 2017/05/31

Hello Vladimir, Thanks for your inquiry. We can manufacture the 33mm rims with HD version. The HD version has extra layers for increased stiffness and sidewall reinforcement. Ideal for large and aggressive riders.Does it work for you? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Joe 2017/04/02

Can any of your 26er rims be ordered with a basalt braking surface for use with rim brakes? Thanks, Joe

LightBicycle 2017/04/05

Hello Joe, Sorry for the late reply. Because we were on the vacation in last 3 days and just got back to office. Sorry, we cannot manufacture the 26er rims with brake tracks. It is mtb rim and for disc brake only. The braking surface requires the rim’s straightness, and the 26er rim is not straight enough to brake.Only our road rim is able to be manufacture the braking surface. If you like to ride V-brake, the road rim is the best choice. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Matt 2017/01/24

Would this be ok with industry nine spokes they are the 2.5mm non butter spokes. I'm looking to swap out a set of stans crest's and the erd is very close so I shouldn't need to change spokes.

LightBicycle 2017/02/08

Hello Matt, Sorry for the late reply. We were on Chinese New Year vacation in the last 10 days and just get back to office today. The strongest spokes that can be used on our rims are double butted 2/1.8/2mm. The industry nine 2.5mm spokes are too stiff to use with carbon rims. It is not allowed to be used on our rims or there is no warranty. Also, normally, you need to get some new spokes, because the rim ERD is different, so the spoke length will be different. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Jay 2016/06/19

Hi there, can I use these with cantilever rim brakes? Thanks!

Light-Bicycle 2016/06/20

Hello Jay, Thanks for your inquiry. Our RM26C02 can not be manufactured with brake tracks, so it cannot work with cantilever rim brakes. But our road U shape 25mm clincher rim is available to work with cantilever rim brakes. Is that okay for you? Rim profile attached for reference. Thanks, Light-bicycle

Frank 2016/06/02

Do these rims have angled spoke holes? How can I tell? Mine have SD serial number. Looking into rim the holes appear to be drilled straight.

Light-Bicycle 2016/06/03

Hello Frank, Thanks for your inquiry. All of our mtb rims come with angled spoke holes now. Please find attached pictures of the method how to check the rim drilled with angle. RM26C02 (30mm wide with hook): 360 /-15g, $150/pcs Shipping with EMS is $50. All pricing in USD. Currently, most of our customers choose RM26C03 33mm hookless rim. Hookless is more durable. Would you like to try the hookless rim? Thanks, Light-bicycle
