Hi..would like to check if this rim is suitable for enduro riding style? https://www.lightbicycle.com/35mm-wide-29er-rims-beadless-for-bicycle-trail-or-mountain-bike-enduro-with-tubeless-compatibility.html

LightBicycle 2021/03/01

Hi Sir, May i have your weight and tire width please? Do you ride aggressively? Then we can check whether this 29er bike rims are okay for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

C

CK 2021/03/12

My weight is 60kg. Tire front 2.5 and rear is 2.4. yes i ride aggresively.

LightBicycle 2021/03/12

Hi Chan, There is EN version of this 29er bike rim. If you ride aggressively, you can choose Heavy Duty version. It is around 50g carbon fiber material added, to make rims stronger. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Piecer 2019/03/25

Hi there! I'm looking to build this wheel onto a hub with 66.7mm flange width and 91.5mm flange diameter, 36 holes with 4-cross build, completely symmetrical so no dish. I'm also interested in adding a braking surface to the rim as my hub isn't disc compatible. Can you please advise on the pricing for this in total? And are you able to provide the spokes along with the rim? Thanks!

LightBicycle 2019/03/26

Hi Piecer, Yes, we can build a 36H mtb wheels with 4 cross lacing. You can purchase spokes and rims from us. Do you want to send us the hubs for wheel building? We can do that for you as well. What hubs are you planning to use? A link would be great. We need to confirm if the hubs are suitable for 4-cross lacing with our specialized wheel builder. We will need more detailed measurements of the hubs so we can calculate the spoke lengths. We might need to consider if you need a reinforced custom made rim. Do you use 14G spokes? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Simon 2018/07/11

Hi, I would like to have the correct lenght of the spokes for my wheels. The used rim would be RM29C07. The hub would be the MT Supadrive Boost Hub. Could you please help me and the spokes would be the Sapim race dubble buttet. Thank you in advance.

LightBicycle 2018/07/12

Hi Simon, Do you have the hub dimension link? If not, please provide attached "a~e" dimension. Then we can get the spoke length for your reference. Also, please check below questions. - Internal hole rim or external hole rim? - Hole count? - Front and rear axle width? - Straight pull or J-bend? - If you are using nipples with larger heads (double square, Squorx, or hex head for example), then we need to know this as the spokes are 1-2mm longer. - Do you have a spoke lacing preference? 2-cross or 3-Cross? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Georg 2017/12/13

Hi, I purchased and got a pair of RM29C07's, looking nice! I have a question about building: I intended to use Sapim CX-Ray spokes, Polyax nipples and also Sapim HM-washers. Now it seem, the the washers try to 'straighten' the nipple (spoke line is not perfect anymore) while bringing tension to the spoke. It seems to be much better without the washers. Do you have experience or a recommendation about the washers ? FYI: I do know about the 5°-angled holes and respected this. Do you generally recommend these washers ? Thanks, Georg

LightBicycle 2017/12/14

Hello Georg, Thanks for your support. All our wheelsets are built without washers. And we do not have nipple washers here. The spoke hole strength is okay for without washers. Yes, the spoke holes are drilled at slight angles (5 degree). Thanks, Lightbicycle

I am looking to replace a rear roval traverse carbon rim only from my 2017 Specialized Enduro 29 with boost. Can you confirm the rim part number? I believe it would be RM29C07. Thanks

LightBicycle 2017/11/06

Hi Mike, May I know your tire width and your weight please? Then we can check which 29er rim is better for you. Do you like UD matte as attached? How many spoke holes do you like? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Jonnie 2016/06/14

Hi, Just ordered. Excellent sales support like last time. I forgot one question. Do you see any trouble in installing the Schwalbe Procore system in the rims. I think the HD rum build shoulb be able to deal with the high tire pressure but as I do not insist to run Procore I rather ask you guys begore I do... Thanks

Light-Bicycle 2016/06/15

Hello Jonnie, Thanks for your support. For the Procore system, we do not have a lot of testing information on it, but so far the customers we've heard from say it's working. Personally, I think our 35mm rims do not have tire burping issues. The larger issue is with g-outs, not impacts from too low of pressure (generally speaking), so I am not sure if Procore is super beneficial. Thanks, Light-bicycle

M

Marc 2017/10/17

I'm running Schwalbe Procore on the RM29C14. One issue is the rim depth, it is too deep to install the retaining nut onto the valve. The system seems to work fine without it, using the Procore tube pressure to seal the valve to rim interface. The RM29C07 should be the ideal rim for the Procore System, being shallow enough to get the retaining nut onto the valve. One of the advantages of the Procore is an insurance policy - I have torn a tyre and continued to ride 1km of descent and 1km of transition to get back. The rim was undamaged as the result of having the Procore installed. The Procore Tube protects your rim from impacts from the ground.

LightBicycle 2017/10/18

Hi Marc, Procore valve stem is not deep enough for our 32mm deep rims. Some of our customers contacted with Schwalbe Procore, and Schwalbe Procore is going to make deeper valve stems. I think their deeper version should be ready now. Thanks, Lightbicycle

LightBicycle 2017/06/30

Andrew 2017/06/16

I have a pair of the RMC29C14 wheels. What is the difference between those and the RMC29C07?

LightBicycle 2017/06/20

Hello Andrew, Thanks for your support. Please find attached rims profile of RM29C14 (38mm width) and RM29C07 (35mm width). Both rims are designed for all mountain or aggressive riding. The 38mm are wider and deeper so the lateral and vertical stiffness are increased. The 38mm has slightly increased impact protection than the 35mm but both are quite strong, especially in the heavier/reinforced version of the rim. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi, are you able to supply the RM29C07 plus black 100/15 and 142/12 Shimano compatible Hope pro4 hubs, i.e. not built up as a wheel set ? If so what would the price be ? Thanks...

Light-Bicycle 2016/09/10

Hello Thomas, Thanks for your inquiry. We are able to sell the rims and hubs to you, and you can build the wheels by yourself. Do you need spokes/nipples? Thanks, Light-bicycle

Thomas 2016/07/01

Hi, I was wondering if you make a newer version of the 30mm internal width rim with the same rim shape as the RM29C14 and the RM29C19, with the more rounded shape? If so, what is the lead time on those? Thank you!

Light-Bicycle 2016/07/04

Hello Thomas, Thanks for your inquiry. We don’t revise the rim mold of RM29C07 until now. This rim is quite popular and hardly did our customers complain the design, so we will keep the rim shape. If you ride aggressively, and prefer U shape rim with bead-lock, then go with RM29C14. That is our strongest rim here. Ideal for large and aggressive riders. Above lead time is based on rims in UD matte 32H. If you have special requirement for rim weave/ finish/ hole counts, the lead time is around 12 days. Usually, it takes around 4-7 days to delivery. Thanks, Light-bicycle

Good day, I am looking to get 2 RM29C07 rims with the 12k weave and matte finish. How long would it take before these could ship in either 28 hole or 32 hole? Thank you

Light-Bicycle 2016/06/24

Hello Jared, Thanks for your inquiry. Lead time: around 12 business days for rims Delivery time: around 4-7 days. The lead time for 28H or 32H are the same. Thanks, Light-bicycle

I currently have a set of RM29C06's that I am very pleased with. I would like to consider the RM29C07's but the lack of a bump before the center channel concerns me. Do the C07's have that feature or are like like the picture indicates? Also, would you be able to select rims that are at the lighter end of the inventory?

Light-Bicycle 2016/05/24

Hello Ray, Thanks for your continued support. Rim profile of RM29C07 attached for reference. The 29C07 is without the bead-lock but works well also. Some riders concerns the transition to hookless rim profiles will cause tyres blowing off or an increased likelihood of burping air from tubeless tyres. So we add bead lock ridges to make them without any fear and ride confidently. If you prefer the rim with bead lock, you can choose the 38mm width rim. Thanks, Light-bicycle

Anders 2016/05/10

Is it possible to use this rim with 2:1 spoke pattern, e.g. on a Roval Traverse Fatty 29 24H (16/8) front hub? The spoke holes are slightly angled, right?

Light-Bicycle 2016/05/11

Hello Anders, Thanks for your inquiry. The RM29C07 can be drilled with 2:1 drilling. And the spoke holes are with /-5 degree. Is it 24H spoke holes laced on rim evenly? Thanks, light-bicycle
