Sapim Race – Our strongest and stiffest spoke. These spokes are suitable for heavy or extremely aggressive riders who need a stiffer wheel.
Sapim CX-Ray – The lightest spoke in our lineup is still quite strong due to the elasticity and amazing fatigue life.
DT Competition Race - All Mountain and XC spoke used by the Chinese location as a substitue for the D-Light (depending on availability)
Pillar PSR X-TRA 1420 - An inexpensive bladed spoke, great for road and cyclocross riding.
Pillar Wing 20 - Pillar patented highest level of aerodynamic bladed spoke reducing potential weak spots and twisting during tensioning. Currently, they are offered in oil slick color only with increased wear and corrosion resistance.
Sapim CX Sprint-Rear drive side/ CX Ray-Other sides - This customized combo increases the rear drive side power transmition efficiency significantly while grabs superior light-weight and aero performance.
Oil slick J-bend - They are made by a qualified manufacturer in Taiwan with custom design by Light Bicycle. They are J-bend only so do not order these spokes for SP hubs you configured in the previous step.
LB Thrust-4 Carbon - The Thrust-4 Carbon spokes are designed to boost high tensile strength. The 4mm all-road profile ensures great crosswind stability.
Berd PolyLight >> - It is constructed from an advanced polymer called ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and are widely considered to be the lightest bicycle spoke option in the world.

Hookless is for those who are running wider tires, lower pressures, or are riding on rougher roads. You will benefit from a more comfortable ride due to the higher volume and increased impact protection. Gravel riders and cyclocross riders are often in this situation.

Our Recon Pro and Falcon Pro rims feature BlackTek and come out of molds as a completed product, with a scratch resistant and near flawless finish, eliminating the need for coating or painting. We name this kind of superior finish the paintless.

Crystal Painting: A fantastic painting effect designed by Light Bicycle.

Full Custom: This option offers custom finish such as Satin/Raw etc at no extra charge but subject to rim models with 3~5 days LONGER on manufacture. With Access Holes: This is the traditional method. Spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel to allow the nipples to easily be fed through the rim. Tubeless tape is required to seal the rim.

No Access Holes: No spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel. Feeding the nipples through the rim is more challenging, but it allows for a tubeless setup without the need for tape. This kind of system is known as "road tubeless" and was made popular by Mavic. Some companies still refer to it as "UST style", however, UST is actually a specific interface between the tire and rim which was developed by a partnership between Mavic, Michelin, and Hutchinson.

Currently, rims with 'No Access Holes' do not work with our carbon spokes.

Drain Hole This is a required option.

The two small drain holes located 90° to the valve hole effectively help evacuate both the water trapped inside the rim and the air leaking into the rim chamber caused by nonperfect tubeless tape sealing handwork that may risk rim explosure in an aggressive tire inflating.

It is the small reinforced layer prelaminated on the area where the drain hole is drilled later that makes the rim strength fairly ensured without any compromise of weight added.

Riders who ride in wet areas are suggested to order rims with drain holes.

Overview

The Airia 55 disc is an ultra-light high performance wheelset, designed for flat road racing and all road riding. Through innovative layup design, advanced manufacturing techniques, and premium materials, the Airia series achieves exceptional lightweight performance without sacrificing strength. The product's inner width (23.5mm) suits the current mainstream 28C and 30C road tires, which basically complies with the 105% rule of thumb and reduces the aero drag.

Paired with lightweight hubs and spokes, the wheelset reaches a perfect balance of lightweight and strength. The Airia series features refined spoke hole technique, allowing for greater flexibility in spoke alignment at the rim. It promises a more precise fit with most hubs on the market. The 24H version is for steel spokes and we also have the 20H version for carbon spoke build.
The rim/wheelset has passed our in-house R&D impact test of 90J(UCI standard 40J).

Hello Light Bicycle Team, I’m interested in the Airia model for my 2024 Trek Émonda SL7 and would like your advice on the best setup. I’m 183 cm (6 ft), 89 kg, based in Vancouver (fairly hilly terrain), and my main event next summer is an Ironman 70.3. I’m leaning toward the 47–60 mm depth range for a balance of aero gains and climbing. On tire clearance, Trek lists 28 mm max, though some riders manage 32 mm depending on the brand—so 30 mm should be safe. Could you recommend the rim width that would pair best here for both performance and aero efficiency? Also, is there an option for an exposed carbon weave finish on the Airia? And do you have any dealers in Canada, or is direct ordering the way to go? Thanks very much, Danila

Hi Yuta, 1. The difference is the layup design and the rim's weight. Flyweight version, max rider's weight 100kg, about 10~20 gram lighter than standard version Standard versionm max rider's wieght 120kg Pro race is the strongeset combo, it can support racing use or high watt riding. heavy duty is about 50 grams heavier than standard version on each rim Does that work for you? 2.
